October fun with grandparents

On October 8-9 we visited Memaw and Papa Clough. We had a wonderful time and went to County Line Orchard to pick apples but they were all picked. We looked around and then left. It was so very packed and there were lines for everything. We instead headed to the beach for awhile and walked around. Lil had a BLAST! Especially playing in the sand. It was about 78 degrees out so it didn't feel like fall but it was a beautiful weekend. We then went and had lunch w/Uncle B and aunt G before heading to the Pumpkin patch in Westville, where Lil loved all the 'punkins.' Every time she turned around she would say "wow, a punkin!" It was so cute. She had fun in the "corn" maze for kids. She went w/mommy and Aunt Gretchen and we both about broke our backs.




Then Saturday evening we headed to my dad's. Sunday Sharon, Lil and I went to my cousin Nikki's baby shower. It was a quick weekend and Dad nor Sharon had a lot of time to see Lil but it was fun anyways. Lillian had a blast at the shower playing with Nikki's niece Gianna, which they play together very well, and her nephew Gabriel. She didnt get a nap but fell asleep on the way home. Daddy pick Lil and I up since it was in Walkerton and it was close to 31 so it was on our way home. It was a great shower and they got a TON of stuff.

*To add to this portion, can you please keep Matt, Nikki and the twins Abby and Emily in your prayers. Nikki has been in the hospital for a few weeks now. She had a routine dr apt and found that her cervix was 1 cm dilated and funneling. She was having contractions as well. They gave her 2 steroid shots and put her on mag. sulfate to stop the contractions. That made her BP drop and they took her off and put her on something else. A few days later they took her off and she was contraction free! Her cervix is starting to close but not fast enough which means she will continue to be in the hospital until the Dr feels she can go home. She is 29 weeks (almost). She will have to have the babies in December, b/c they wont let her go back 37 weeks. Thanks so much. They are all doing well and we just hope the girls stay put.

Saturday October 23 we went and visited my mom and Rick for the day. They are living w/some people from their church, super nice people btw. Lil had fun, no nap again but had fun. She loved watching veggie tales (as she frequently asks to watch) and Mom, Rick, N and I played cards. We had dinner and played a few more games. She zonked out on the way home, not long after we left. It was a good day.
